Fun is the name of the game with Spirit Squad. Let’s show our school we have something to cheer about. We’ll focus on all the great things happening at school and celebrate them by making hand-made posters and banners to hang around campus. Pom-poms and exciting music will accompany the routines we learn to cheer on our school teams.

Students are introduced to flag football terminology, rules, scoring, basic individual skills (passing, receiving, running plays, blocking, defending, kicking, punting, etc.) and team play. Emphasis is placed on safety, respect, sportsmanship, and inclusivity.

Playing games with friends provides the perfect opportunity for students to practice skills like taking turns, following agreed upon rules, using cooperation and collaboration. Students will laugh, have fun with friends and learn to compete without giving up. And, of course, the art of winning and losing gracefully.
